As for the new game, Tropico 4 brings players back to the island nation of Tropico, where gamers are cast as El Presidente, the compassionate (or nefarious) ruler of the land. More specifically, Tropico 4 includes a 20-mission campaign set on 10 distinct environments and packs in 20 new buildings, including a shopping mall, aqua park, and stock exchange.
In addition, the game includes new interactive disasters such as hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, droughts, to wreak havoc on the residents of Banana Republic.
The PC version of Tropico 4 is also about social media via Facebook and Twitter integration. Players the opportunity to tweet and update their Facebook status in the game, the virtual world to tell their heroic deeds.
[UPDATE] Tropico Kalypso has dated for North America 4. The game will be released on PC on 30 August. An Xbox 360 iteration will follow in mid-September.
