Yesterday, a source EGMNow provided information and a logo Need for Speed: Underground restart information in the development of Criterion Games. This report is false, the developer said.
Following the publication of this report, the creative director Alex Ward, wrote on Twitter (via Videogamer): "Remakes and reboots completely false # movedon.?."
followed that tweet with another that suggests Criterion working on something new. Ward, never refers to the original story in your tweets, so it is possible that your comments are not related. However, given the timing, this seems unlikely.

Criterion Games Burnout series created and developed more recently to revive the Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012).
