U.S. Crytek CEO David Adams, founder of Vigil Games, Darksiders want to buy the franchise from THQ. Writing on Twitter, Adams said that the IP should stay with their manufacturers.

"Go to bid on Darksiders IP" writes Adams. "Put seven years of heart and soul into the franchise, and I think it belongs at home with their creators."
  • Vigil Games Darksiders series and found no bidder in the auction of THQ auction in January and therefore the study was closed and the future of the franchise remains in limbo.
  • Some resolution appeared at the end of the month when Crytek announced the creation of an office of the U.S. led by Adams and 35 other developers Vigil Games. At that time, however, Crytek has said its new office in North America would develop new game Darksiders.
Darksiders II launched this summer behind a positive critical reception.
