Wedbush 's Michael Pachter lowers revenue expectations for publisher cuts revenue forecasts in half for transmission and 3D Realms' long-awaited first-person shooter.

Critics weren 't the only ones disappointed with Duke Nukem Forever. In a note to investors today lowered Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter's expectation for Take-Two 'said s quarterly sales, a sluggish performance of the long-awaited first-person shooter will be more than offset by stronger than expected sales of Rockstar' s latest LA Noire.

Nukem sales didn 't explode as Pachter expects.

"We were expecting before Duke to a year 's top seller by a high degree of exaggeration and a dedicated fan base, and the expected solid earnings as the majority of development was to be previously recorded as an expense," said Pachter investors. "But \ the game's poor ratings (average Metacritic score of 49) probably have a negative impact on sales, so that we lower our [first quarter] sell-in estimate of 3 million units to 1.5 million units.
