Electronic Arts has announced that the next entry in the series Madden will land on August 27. Interestingly, the game can not be called Madden NFL 14, but Madden 25.

According to the official announcement, more information on Madden 25 is coming soon. No platforms for the game were announced.
  • Nowhere on the page is Madden NFL 14 on the list, indicating Madden 25 could be a sister product of Madden NFL 14, or a full rebrand to mark the 25th anniversary of the franchise.
  • A representative was not immediately available for comment.
The latest installment of the series - Madden NFL - sold 1.65 million copies in its first week, an increase of 8 percent a year. GameSpot review concluded that, to be updated annually competent to old problems and significant innovation back just above last year's iteration.
